Alexa Tanner, PhD
Alexa Tanner, PhD, is an applied researcher who assesses the social dimensions of community impacts from natural hazard risks. Dr.Tanner received her PhD from the University of British Columbia in the Institute of Resources, Environment and Sustainability (2022). Her Ph.D. thesis studied how individuals and communities perceive, prepare, and respond to multiple natural hazard risks and looked at how adaptations are needed to match the changing risk profiles associated with climate change.
