Stephen Buckman
Dr. Buckman is an Associate Professor of Real Estate Development at Clemson University. His research is centered on resiliency, waterfront development, community real estate development, and how public private partnerships bring these all together. The majority of his research is on the impacts of climate change on the real estate community and how resilient measures can mitigate the impacts of climate change. He has published 1 book with another forthcoming, over 20 refereed journal articles, 8 book chapters, and numerous community reports. Before entering the academy Dr. Buckman worked in real estate development for the Trammell Crow Investment Division and had his own firm as well as working in investment commercial brokerage. At present Dr. Buckman consults for developers and communities and does his own developments. Dr. Buckman holds a PhD from Arizona State University.
